OTOW Golf Path
We have posted copies of the email between the BOD and Marion County on the LV website re: OTOW Golf Path, following info that was posted on the LV FB page.
The unpermitted use we discussed is in relation to the area at our entrance, where LV golf carts cross 80th Avenue to use the OTOW path on the other side. Where we cross 80th is not a legal or permitted golf cart crossing, but Marion County had not been enforcing it.
Marion County has agreed to purchase the OTOW Golf Path and grant OTOW an easement for use and maintenance – but they are NOT providing a crossing for LV residents there.
That is why we are negotiating for them to widen the SIDEWALK on our side of 80th Ave to accommodate golf carts, so LV residents can travel to OTOW, Calesa, Shalom, Del Webb, & other shopping via golf cart.
Those negotiations are ongoing.
No idea how or why the information became focused on OTOW’s golf cart path and who owns it. Perhaps we should have been more clear. It was our understanding that we did not have designated county access to the section of path at that location- but it was not being enforced.
Once again: The info was about the area where we CROSS to ACCESS that section of OTOW golf path, which is up to Marion County. That access must be a legal or permissioned crossing – as it crosses a county roadway.
Ours is not – but has not been enforced.
The BOD will always strive to provide the most accurate information to the absolute best of our ability. If we make a mistake, we WILL correct it.
If you choose to get your information elsewhere, and that information is malicious, incorrect, or misinformation, the BOD will no longer take on the role of correcting it.
It is not in the BOD’s job description to correct the information that others provide.*
Please use your own discernment.
Thank you
